Aya Matsuura - The Bigaku

From: The Bigaku (single)
Length: 1:45
BPM: 168
Created For: DDREvolved.com's Cheesemix 6

This step file includes BASIC (4 feet), TRICK (6 feet) and MANIAC (8 feet) difficulties, as well as lyrics, a background video and video banner. It has an interesting history, actually - the Heavy steps originally began life some time in 2007 as an edit for sanchny's file of the same song. I dusted them off recently and noted that they were still pretty decent, so I decided to make them into a full-fledged file for CM6 (since I am contractually obliged to submit an Ayaya song to each Cheesemix, and there's very little of hers left that's even slightly cheesy and has a PV available).

Thus, the song cut, lyrics file and sync parameters are all by sanchny, who very graciously saved me the effort of producing my own as well as providing me with the original video. The video edit/encode, graphics and steps are all me (graphics were originally sourced from video screencaps, though I did a little 'touching up' of my own, heh). I spent literally hours tweaking the graphics and video banner then decided enough was enough. They'll do.

I'd also like to credit projecthello.com for most likely being the source of sanchny's lyrics file.

As well as carrying out a few minor tweaks to the positioning and rhythm of the Heavy steps, I also wrote a Light and Standard chart to round out the file. I know that nobody actually looks at these readme files, but you should really play them. They're quite good. I actually toyed with the idea of moving up Heavy to challenge and then Standard to Heavy, just so that people would actually play it, but eventually I decided against it. I think it works better as a Standard chart, and if I did that then I'd have to write a new one to fill in the gap anyway :P Well, I wouldn't HAVE to but I hate releasing files that don't have a full difficulty set, so I'd kind of feel obligated to.

In any case, if you're taking the time to play other people's Challenge charts, I'd appreciate it if you'd give Standard a go on this one. Thanks!

Hope to see you next time, next Ayaya file! :)
